Ascension[]

Chapter 1: Dead and Buried[]

Dead and Buried refers to Lei's speech, when she states that Donnovan's Blue Chicory is Dead and Buried. It can also refer to The group's normal lives, as they suddenly were forced into this post-apocalyptic survival.

Chapter 2: United We Stand[]

United We Stand refers to the group being reunited, in which all of the group except Donnovan were filled with hope.

Chapter 3: Divided We Fall[]

Divided We Fall refers to the group being together, although divided as Donnovan stands on Ralph's side and Alex is in infirmary.

Chapter 4: A Traitor Among Us[]

Donnovan declares that the Oasis residents will have a traitor among them when he tells the group that he is now with them. A Traitor Among Us can also be used to describe Connor as he breaks one of Ralph's rules.

Chapter 5: Retaliation[]

During the night, Lei, Robert, Connor, Alex, Donnovan, and Andy have a Retaliation against the Oasis. Retaliation can also be used to describe how Connor kills Sam for revenge of Ralph burning his face or Ralph killing Alex because of Donnovan's betrayal.

Chapter 6: They Seek Life[]

They Seek Life refers to the group wanting to find shelter, which means that their chances of survival and therefor life is increased.

Chapter 7: Below Zero[]

The blizzard makes it feel as if it's below zero.

Chapter 8: Harrowing Hope[]

After discovering Christina, Lei states that children are the only Harrowing Hope for this world.

Chapter 9: Schizophrenia[]

Martin clearly has Schizophrenia or some other mental disease.

Chapter 10: Foundation[]

Donnovan states that the wall will be the foundation of their lives, foundation can also refer to Lei having romantic moments with both Donnovan and Corbin, having a base to a relationship with both.

Chapter 11: Insomniacs[]

Insomniacs refers to Donnovan staying up all night working on the wall, it also refers to Casey working hard on a cure.

Chapter 12: Cataclysm[]

Cataclysm means a violent event in the world, this refers to the outbreak, as this is the first time the group goes outside the wall in two chapters.

Chapter 13: the Barren and the Bleak[]

The Barren and the Bleak refers to how harsh the survivor's hellish lives are, as their city is almost overrun.

Chapter 14: In a Life We Once Squandered[]

In a Life We Once Squandered refers to Lei's pregnancy, in which pregnancy was a normal thing in the pre-outbreak.

Chapter 15: Red Flags[]

Donnovan tells Lei that he found Robert smoking a cigarette, and he believes that is a red flag for something bad. Red flags also refer to Robert hearing the animals speak, in which the audience should know something bad will happen.

Chapter 16: Lies[]

Lies are talked about twice in this chapter, once where Robert lies about talking Martin's necklace and later Michael says that the evacuation points where nothing but lies.

Chapter 17: Summer[]

This Chapter takes place at the beginning of summer.

Chapter 18: Whispers[]

Mister keeps taunting and whispering to Robert, in which he decides to cut Mister in half, he later shows Mister to Lei, in which he tells her tat he can't hear the whispers anymore.

Chapter 19: Three[]

When Donnovan talk to Lei, he tells her that if Crown Point where to ever fall, if it came down to it, Donnovan would prefer to have it just be them two and Robert, saying "It'll be just us three." Casey and Donnovan also get in a quarrel over Audrey, as Casey calls her Test Subject Three, however Donnovan tells her to call her by her actual name, Audrey.

Chapter 20: Woe Lies Upon Our Doorstep[]

Woe Lies Upon Our Doorstep refers to Theren and his group showing up at the front gate of Crown Point, and therefor, their doorstep.

Chapter 21: Pressed For Time[]

Pressed For Time refers to Theren giving the group a week to leave or fight.

Chapter 22: Preparations[]

Preparations refers to the group getting prepared to fight, and Joe running into Ethan's group and recruiting a militia.

Chapter 23: Culpability[]

Culpability stands for Mikko yelling at Donnovan for wanting to fight, therefor making Donnovan feel culpable for violence.

Chapter 24: Sins[]

while considering shooting Robert, Donnovan tells Lei it would be a sin to shoot him.

Chapter 25: Undead[]

Mikko and Ilta watch the undead Audrey.

Chapter 26: Doubt[]

Casey has some doubt about finding a cure.

Chapter 27: Core[]

Casey discovers that the infection starts in the Core of the brain stem.

Chapter 28: Out Of Time[]

Jim tells Donnovan that the group is running out of time.

Chapter 29: On The Horizon[]

On The Horizon refers to the war taking place on the next day.

Chapter 30: Prayers[]

Before Theren shows up, Donnovan says a few Prayers about survivng.

Chapter 31: The Day That Never Comes[]

The Day That Never Comes refers to the aftermath of the war, it also refers to how Zac and Marty call their camp "A New Day", and how with Zac's death, that day never comes.

Chapter 32: Beast[]

Beast refers to Donnovan brutally killing an unnamed scavenger.

Chapter 33: Stoicism[]

Stoicism refers to the group reuniting and finding out who is missing, in which most of them show little emotions.

Chapter 34: How Far They've Come[]

How Far They've Come refers to how far the group has gone since Crown Point and Boston. It also refers to how far Lei has come in her pregnancy.

Chapter 35: Unrelenting Sorrow[]

Unrelenting Sorrow refers to how sorrowful everyone is in Antonio's death.

Chapter 36: Where The Sun Sets[]

After arriving at the trailer park, Donnovan states that this place is Where the Sun Sets.

Chapter 37: Detachment[]

Detachment refers to John's group, who is detached from Donnovan's group. Detachment also refers to Donnovan and Corbin detaching themselves from the group by brutally murdering John's group.

Chapter 38: Borders Crossed[]

Borders Crossed refers to the group crossing the border to Texas.

Chapter 39: Turn[]

Mikko continuously worries on whether Ilta was shot in the head or if she did turn.

Chapter 40: Out Of Reach[]

Out of Reach refers to Mikko attempting to grab Ron's machete, however it was out of reach so he couldn't defend himself from it's blade.

Chapter 41: F[]

The group is line up and branded the same letter as their cell block, which is F

Chapter 42: Together Through Agony[]

Lei states to Robert that they'll make it Together through agony.

Chapter 43: Shattered Memories[]

Donnovan has memories of his life before, and he smashed a mirror in rage. referencing Shattered Memories

Chapter 44: The List[]

The List refers to Ron's list of the prisoners.

Chapter 45: Til' Death Do Us Part[]

Til' Death Do Us Part refers to Donnovan giving Lei his wedding rings for her and Corbin.

Chapter 46: Bruised and Battered[]

Bruised and Battered refers to the group under Ron's tyranny, as they wither in fear and are punished if they speak out, like Ben, who has his left arm mutilated.

Chapter 47: Broke[]

Taunting Donnovan, Zaine grabs Robert and begins to brutally beat him. Afterwards, Zaine throws him back in his cell with Lei, who states that his orbital bone is broke.

Chapter 48: The Wolves Are Hungry[]

The Wolves Are Hungry refer to Ron as a wolf and Robert as a prey, where as Ron tries to attack Robert but however Lei steps in.

Chapter 49: Suspicion[]

While walking around the cell block, Zaine notices Donnovan and Jeffery talking. He states his suspicion of the two to Dustin.

Chapter 50: Wounds Of The Depraved[]

While speaking to Jefferey, Donnovan states that Ron and his men while suffer for what they've done, and that the wound of the depraved will light their fire.

Chapter 51: Two Hours[]

Donnovan tells Jeffery that they have only two hours left until the riot begins.

Chapter 52: Animal[]

Animal refers to how every character becomes savage during the riot.

Chapter 53: The Brink[]

After the fall of Fort Bliss, the survivors go to a brink of savagery

Chapter 54: The Window Burns[]

The Window Burns refers to Robert being aware of something outside the window.

Chapter 55: To Right Our Wrongs[]

To Right Our Wrongs refers to Donnovan and Lei starting their relationship, it also refers to Robert putting down Jake before he turns, unlike some other people.

Chapter 56: Deceit[]

Lei doesn't tell Corbin about her cheating on him, ultimately showing Deceit.

Chapter 57: Secrets[]

Donnovan, Lei, and Robert all keep secrets in this chapter, Donnovan and Lei keep their relationship from Corbin, in which Jim finds out, and Robert keep's Buddy's death a secret.

Chapter 58: Isolation Of The Damned[]

Robert is taken away from the other's due to his psychopathic behavior, when Lei ask Donnovan about this, he tells her that it was simply the isolation of the damned.

Chapter 59: Begrudged Confinement[]

Begrudged Confinement refers to how the group is confined in the house, and that leaving is considered death.

Chapter 60: Up The Road A Ways[]

Up The Road A Ways refers to the group leaving the cabin to find Fort Lauderdale.

Chapter 61: Winter Blues[]

Winter Blues refers to the group fighting for food and shelter during the winter.

Chapter 62: Travel[]

After arriving in Florida, Jefferey states that they've traveled a great distance since Texas.

Chapter 63: Soon[]

Once seeing a sign stating that Fort Lauderdale was a mere mile away, Donnovan says they'll be safe soon.

Chapter 64: Endgame[]

Endgames refers to the end of Donnovan's game, as he is bit in the end of the chapter.

Chapter 65: Bloom[]

While searching for Ben, and while Donnovan walks on the railroad tracks, Blue Chicory's are seen Blooming.

Chapter 66: When[]

While arguing with Jim, Lei says that none of them know where Donnovan is and when Donnovan will turn.

Chapter 67: Revelation 9:6[]

This passage Revelation 9:6 states "And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them." This refers to Lei attempting suicide and being stopped by Robert.

Chapter 68: Forward[]

James tells Lei that she will have to move Forward from Donnovan's death and should focus on her child.

Chapter 69: Mistrust[]

Lei and the others show some mistrust of Lane when he shows up.

Chapter 70: This Is How The World Ends[]

This Is How The World end refers to the infection, as Donnovan is seen turned in this chapter, so therefor it show the infection is how the world ends.

Chapter 71: Return[]

Lei tells Jim that he should return to the group.

Chapter 72: Wasteland[]

After reveling he was bit, James tells the group that the world is nothing, and that there is no civilization left and that Inducia is probably overrun, just like Fort Lauderdale, in which Robert response is "The world is a wasteland."

Chapter 73: Thank You[]

Before putting James down, Lei says Thank you to him.

Chapter 74: Linger[]

Ben tells the group that they shouldn't linger around for to long and that they should find another car. Also, Alden is seen lingering around the forest

Chapter 75: Emotions[]

Lei and Robert discuss their back stories, as to which both get a bit emotional.

Chapter 76: In The Woods[]

Robert goes to the bathroom and when he comes back he tells Lei that he thinks something is in the woods.

Chapter 77: In My Mind[]

Robert continues to Lei that there was something in the woods and he states it wasn't in my mind.

Chapter 78: Survive[]

Alden and his group attack, and Alden tells Lei that none of them survive. Ironically all of Lei's group survives and every member of Alden's group dies.

Chapter 79: Assure[]

Jim tries to assure Robert that his machete is in fact, his.

Chapter 80: Lights[]

While walking to the lake, Lei tells Robert about how stars are like lights in the sky.

Chapter 81: Only A Lone Bullet[]

Robert's voice in Lei's head fights with Donnovan's voice, telling her that Only a lone bullet will let her join them.

Chapter 82: Nevermore[]

Nevermore refers to the signs leading to Inducia, saying "Fight, Nevermore."

Chapter 83: Eden[]

Eden refers to how safe Braxton and William describe Inducia as.

Chapter 84: Ascension[]

Arriving in Inducia, the two survivors, Lei and Lane, officially have Ascended from the savage survival lifestyle to a community with walls.

Chapter 85: Inducia[]

Lei stays her first night in Inducia.


The Inducia Chronicles[]

Chapter 1: Tomorrow[]

Lei awaits the future of this community, which refers to tomorrow.

Chapter 2: Grudge Match[]

Lei and Erin get in a grudge match due to Erin accusing her of cheating with her husband.

Chapter 3: Roommates[]

William and Jonathan move in together, becoming "roommates".

Chapter 4: Days We've Forgotten[]

Days We've Forgotten refers to Grey Wolf's identity being revealed as Ron, and Corbin arrives at Inducia. Both of them having been gone for a while.

Chapter 5: Darker Skies[]

Darker Skies refer to the unpleasant events about to come as Ron raises an army.

Chapter 6: Lost Souls[]

Several of Ricky and Joey's drug addicted friends overdose and turn, only to be put down by Braxton, who states that they are lost souls.

Chapter 7: The Calm Before The Fall[]

Ron confronts Corbin and request him to join his army, ultimatly showing that the current peace is the calm before the fall.

Chapter 8: Reconnaissance[]

Reconnaissance refers to Corbin watching Lei throughout the chapter.

Chapter 9: The Wall[]

While shopping, William is pushed up against the wall and almost mugged by Joey, only for Jonathan to brutally execute him.

Chapter 10: King of Hearts[]

Braxton and Lei play cards, and a king of hearts can be several times. Also, after saving him, William states that he wants to take his love with Jonathan to another level, symbolizing that Jonathan is a king of his heart.

Chapter 11: No Longer[]

During their meeting, Lei tells Corbin that anything they once had no longer exist.

Chapter 12: White Noise[]

White Noise refers to the several gunshots that go off in the end of the chapter.

Chapter 13: Let It Burn[]

While watching Lei and co. escape from a burning building, he ask her about how long she will let it (Inducia) burn.

Chapter 14: Hail To The King[]

Ron claims himself as king, and before shooting him in the head, William sarcastically claims that all shall hail to the king.

Chapter 15: Acceptance[]

Everyone begins to accept their loved one's deaths and that Inducia is no longer how it was. As well, William and Jonathan accept Billy as their child and Billy accepts that they are homosexual.

Chapter 16: Perpetually[]

Perpetually means forever, and in this chapter Jonathan ask William for his hand in marriage, which bonds their life together forever.

Chapter 17: Feeding The Wolves[]

Feeding the Wolves refers to the pedophile targeting Billy, as the pedophile is the wolf and Billy is the prey, and William shoots the pedophile to death, therefore feeding the wolf bullets.

Chapter 18: Old Habits Die Hard[]

William confesses to Braxton that he needs to stop drinking and focus on his children, as William needs to focus on his wedding, there having Braxton's old habit of drinking and William's old habit of babysitting both die hard.

Chapter 19: Human[]

This is the first chapter we see Dorothy in human.

Chapter 20: One Too Many[]

Braxton begins to have a drink and Lei tells him that one sip is one too many.

Chapter 21: Unprecedented Promises[]

Unprecedented means never done before, and this wedding is the first and only formal wedding to take place in the series, therefor their vows are unprecedented promises.

Chapter 22: The Last And Dreadful Hour[]

While his speech to Lei on why he should have the lab, Tiberius tells her that this is the last and dreadful hour before they find the cure.

Chapter 23: Metastasized[]

Metastasized refers to the spread of cancer in Braxton's liver.

Chapter 24: The Pinnacle of Discovery[]

The Pinnacle of Discovery refers to Tiberius finding the cure for Cancer, it also refers to reveal of Casey after the events of Crown Point.

Chapter 25: Only Time Will Tell[]

After having the cure injected in him, Lei ask if he thinks it will work, in which Braxton responds that only time will tell.

Chapter 26: Overmorrow[]

Overmorrow is the day after tomorrow, and this chapter is revealed to be a five year timeskip after the last chapter, therefore being past the future of the first chapter.

Chapter 27: The Autumn Effect[]

The Autumn Effect refers to the beginning of fall, and as the leaves die, the survivor's hopes slowly start to as well.

Chapter 28: Guilty Bystander[]

Jonathan confesses his murder of Luke's father to William, in which William does not do anything of it, therefor becoming a guilty bystander.

Chapter 29: Montana[]

While discussing on what they should do in case Inducia falls, William states that he heard that Montana is a good and safe place.

Chapter 30: A God I Am Not[]

Tiberius, after Janet confesses her love to him, states that she should stop obsessing over him like a god. He continues to say A god I am not, yet.

Chapter 31: Picked Flowers are Dead[]

Picked Flowers Are Dead refers to Lei being shot in the neck by Janet.

Chapter 32: Courtesy Call[]

Courtesy Call refers to the Lei awakening of her mini-coma, it also refers to everyone watching Braxton kill Janet.

Chapter 33: Four in the Morning[]

Lei, Braxton, and William stay up till four in the morning talking.

Chapter 34: Smiles[]

Dorothy, on her deathbed, tells everyone to smile, for she is heading to a better place.

Chapter 35: Once More[]

Once More refers to Braxton saying that he's sick of having all these funeral's and Dorothy's is just another one on the list.

Chapter 36: Tears[]

When Luke begins to cry, William smiles an says that he hates to wipe his child's tears.

Chapter 37: Be With You[]

While being held back by Billy when Jonathan and Luke are devoured, William cries that he can't be without them.

Chapter 38: Little Cabin[]

While talking to the zombified Jonathan, William talks about how much they both wanted to have a little cabin in an open field.

Chapter 39: Dressed in Black[]

At Jonathan, Luke, and Lane's funeral, mostly everyone is dressed in black.

Chapter 40: Empty Bottles[]

William begins to become a drunk, with empty bottles pilling around his house.

Chapter 41: Hymn for The Missing[]

William lays near Luke's gravestone, and usually Hymns are played at religious events.

Chapter 42: I Climb[]

I Climb refers to Billy standing up to William and ordering him to stop drinking.

Chapter 43: One For The Team[]

One For The Team is when someone sacrifices something for the greater good, referring to William sacrificing Roger's life for food.

Chapter 44: Black Cat[]

Black Cats symbolize misfortune and bad luck, Iris watching William refers to bad luck.

Chapter 45: Next Contestant[]

Next Contestant refers to William leaving Eric behind to be devoured, saying that anyone who messes with him and his son will die.

Chapter 46: On Our Graves[]

William confesses his actions to Lei and she tells him that everyone's horrible actions will be written on our graves.

Chapter 47: Cure[]

Tiberius finishes the machine which released green spores, or the "cure" into the air.

Chapter 48: Unison[]

Unison refers William and John banding together to get Iris.

Chapter 49: Right To Carry Arms[]

While holding Dan hostage, William says he has the right to carry arms.

Chapter 50: End Of Days[]

Throughout the chapter, Tiberius reads several passages from the Book of Revelations, and several times, mentions the End Of Days.
